The Waiting Place

Dr Seus said it best:

The Waiting Place.... for people just waiting
waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a Yes or No or waiting for their hair to grow. Everyone is just waiting

Besides for the fact that Dr Seus has great rhythm, he also has a good point. Understatement.

No! That's not for you! Somehow you'll escape all that waiting and staying. You'll find the bright places where Boom Bands are playing. With banner flip-flapping, once more you'll ride high! ready for anything under the sky, ready because you're that kind of guy!

Exactly.

So please don't be one in in a million. Don't be a "single" among million others, waiting at Shul, waiting at an Oneg, waiting at work, just waiting for a guy to pick you up, to carry you through flying petals and to promise you vows of love he could have promised to another.

  1. I love how all the important lessons in life can be found in Dr. Seuss books

  2. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "“How much of human life is lost in waiting". The mindset of waiting is pointless, live the life you have now to its fullest and just let hings fall into place. Constantly "waiting" ruins the good times you can be having now...

  4. But the again, we always do have to wait: wait for others to catch up to our speed, wait for your turn on line, wait for the bus

  5. Well, there are different types of waiting. There is waiting for change and stuff which is pointless. Waiting for a bus is also quite upsetting, but thats where phones and tablets come in handy :)

  6. Well said. I don't know why this needs to be said and said again and said again, but somehow it does. So... thanks.
